Malbec

Malbec is one of the traditional Bordeaux varietals and is known for its dark color and pronounced tannins. It is primarily produced in South West France, Argentina and Chile. It is a thin skinned grape that requires a great deal of sun and heat, and brings deep color, plum flavors, and strong tannins. It is frequently used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
