Counoise

Counoise

Counoise is one of the more obscure varietals from the Rhone valley region of France, but is a key ingredient in many Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. Counoise is a deep purple-red, and has a rich, spicy character, with flavors of anise, strawberries, and blueberries. It has soft tannins that help round out Syrah blends.
