An unfiltered blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc. Dark, richly structured with smoky hints of cherry, raspberry, black pepper and vanilla.

A medium-bodied, ruby Zinfandel with bright cherry and berry flavors.

This is a hardy Pinot Noir done in a bigger, bolder style. Smooth, yet rich with plum and spice.

Robert Parker notes that "this soft, expansive blend of 50% Syrah, 45% Mourvedre, and 5% Grenache is meant to be a Paso Robles-styled Cotes du Rhone. Its deep ruby hue is accompanied by attractive peppery, earthy, underbrush, black currant, and cherry characteristics. The fine aromatics, good entry on the palate, and decent finish suggest it will drink well for 2-3 years."

Robert Parker notes, "The 2006 Optimus Proprietary Red, a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Syrah, and 5% Petit Verdot, performed slightly better than it did last year. Reminiscent of a northern Rhone blended with a Bordeaux, it exhibits sweet cassis, graphite, and a chalky, powdery minerality, good structure, and full body. As the wine sits in the glass, hints of espresso roast and white chocolate emerge. This structured, slightly backward, well-endowed 2006 should age effortlessly for 10-15 years. One of the reference point producers in Paso Robles, Frenchman Stephan Asseo continues to turn out an intriguing as well as provocative range of brilliant red wines."

78% Cabernet Franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon

This full-bodied red has flavors of plum, red currant and black cherries with a supple lingering briery spice finish.

The Nadeau Family Vintners’ 2006 “Bouncer” Zinfandel is another big, blockbuster Zin. A boorish brute of a Zin, this wine is a blend of the Zins from the West side of the Paso Robles appellation.  Big fruit aromas and flavors framed with just a subtle hint of American Oak make this one a very interesting wine.

This 2007 Petite Sirah, grown on the family estate in Paso Robles, reveals deep ruby-purple hues, a touch of blackberry and black cherry aromas, with hints of violet and spice. It is well balanced with a firm structure. Enjoy the lingering finish and hint of smoky oak.

From the Je T’aime Vineyard in Paso Robles, this wine is a more elegant Zinfandel and has a nose of spicy black pepper and allspice. The palate reminds you of ripe dark cherries.

A rich, layered nose offers up a complex mixture of Paso Robles Zin-berry fruit with hints of cinnamon,  clove, baking spices, orange zest and Sweet Tarts. Great depth and firm, lively acidity give this wine backbone and verve; a solid, well structured core. On the finish, fine cracked white pepper, freshly picked wild berries and a touch of French oak seal the deal.
 

Blend: 51% Petite Sirah, 435 Syrah, 4% Tannat, 2% Touriga

This Paso blend combines grapes from the prestigious Huerhuero Vineyard and showcases the structure of Petite Sirah, the spice and cherry qualities of Syrah, the depth and structure of Tannat with the floral notes of Touriga. A youthful blend with ripe structured tannins and notes of black berries, ripe cherries, and spicy oak.

Deep, dark cherry red, with flavors of sweet oak, intense dark fruit with notes of blueberry and undertones of tobacco. A full-bodied, supple Cabernet Sauvignon with intense fruit and ripe tannins; balanced with a long finish.
