Barrel 27 High On The Hog 2007
Barrel 27
A blend of 39% Grenache Blanc, 36% Viognier, 20% Roussanne, 5% Marsanne with all the fruit coming from the Paso Robles appellation. Straw gold/brass in color, with a seductive nose dominated by floral scents of jasmine, gardenia, and lily, with white peach, macadamia, honeyed lemon zest and mineral notes, supported by secondary hints of honeycomb, licorice, smoky-sweet bacon fat and melon. Both weighty and silky in the mouth, flavors of candied lemon, melon, marzipan, melon and oyster shell mingle with notes sweet apple, slate and a hint of petrol. The wine possesses a crisp, sparkling acidity that carries its weight and shifting kaleidoscope of flavors into the long finish.

Kinero Cellars Alice Grenache Blanc 2009
From the Blackseth Vineyard. Similar to its namesake, this wine is light on its feet. It shows aromas of white peaches, tropical fruits and orange blossom on the nose. Rose petal, wet stones and citrus sorbet fill out the mouth, while the crisp acidity delivers a lingering finish that will keep you coming back for more.
